HBO Max has officially released "IT: Welcome to Derry."

The show is a horror-drama series set in the 1960s fictional town of Derry, Maine. It is based on Stephen King's iconic horror novel and the 2017 and 2019 "It" movies. The prequel is developed by siblings Andy and Barbara Muschietti, as well as Jason Fuchs.

Here's what we know about the episodes of "IT: Welcome to Derry" and when they will be released.

When will the second episode of 'IT: Welcome to Derry' debut?

Season One of "It: Welcome to Derry" will have eight episodes.

The first episode aired on Sunday, Oct. 26. And, HBO Max is giving "IT: Welcome to Derry" fans a special spooky goody for the second episode.

It is slated for an early release in honor of Halloween, according to a news release.

It will be available on HBO Max on Friday, Oct. 31, at 3 a.m. ET. It will also air on HBO on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 9 p.m. ET.

How many episodes does 'IT: Welcome to Derry' have?

"It: Welcome to Derry" is based on Stephen King's novel and previous 2017 and 2019 movies.

The first season consists of eight episodes, and after this weekend, each will drop on the regular schedule, on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on HBO and HBO Max, according to the news release.

The series finale is scheduled for Dec. 14.
