Michael Strahan got a little morning bump of intrigue during his interview with comedian Roy Wood Jr.
Appearing Wednesday on *Good Morning America* to promote his new book, *Man of Many Fathers*, Wood opened up about his past and the people who helped shape him into the entertainer he is today — with a small reveal that shocked Strahan at the end of their chat.
"It is a blessing to be on the tour, telling jokes all over the country," the *Daily Show* correspondent said on the air, just before 9 a.m. local time. "I want people to get this book and know that we are all the pieces of the people that have all touched us, man, and it's a blessing. I'm thankful."

Strahan then reached over to shake Wood's hand to close out the conversation before a commercial break, telling the comedian, "I'm glad you brought up those dishwashers. I remember my guys, they really gave me a certain mindset."
Referencing the former colleagues that molded parts of his perspective earlier in life, Wood made a quip about the workers that left Strahan stunned.
"Some of mine was on cocaine, it wasn't just alcohol," Wood said, looking outward after the admission.

Strahan smiled as he searched for a reaction, landing on, "This is *Good Morning America*!" as he laughed.
Wood continued, advising the audience, "It's in the book! We'll talk about it later," as the program cut to an ad break.
Wood's book tour also recently took the star to *The View*, where he similarly reflected on the extracurricular activities of his former coworkers.
