Jason Kelce says he and his wife Kylie are both "very busy" since his retirement from football, making it "harder and harder" to find time for work and parenting
The former NFL star tells PEOPLE, "It feels like our lives continue to get more booked up" as parents to four daughters
"At the end of the day, we find time to make for each other and for the girls and everybody else," Jason says
Jason Kelce's schedule hasn't slowed down since he retired from the NFL.
The 37-year-old father of four tells PEOPLE he and his wife Kylie Kelce are just as busy as they were when he played for the Philadelphia Eagles, which means finding time for all six of them can be challenging.
"We're very busy, both of us," says Jason, who shares daughters Wyatt Elizabeth, 6, Elliotte Ray, 4, Bennett Llewellyn, 2, and Finnley "Finn" Anne, 7 months, with Kylie, 33.
"I know I'm retired from football, but one thing ends and other things start," the former center explains, while speaking with PEOPLE about the launch of Slow Burn by Kingsford, a new limited-edition fragrance inspired by Kelce. "We have four children now, two of which are off doing preschool and kindergarten, and it feels like our lives continue to get more booked up."

Jason says it's "becoming harder and harder to find downtime for just ourselves" amid their busy schedules with work and parenting. "But we manage to still find the time and the girls continue to grow."
Luckily, Kylie and Jason have "amazing grandparents that are always nearby, willing to help and lend a hand." The former NFL star even jokes, "They're much better raising our kids than even we are, so that helps."
Jason says he and his family are lucky to be "in really fortunate circumstances" and though they are "very busy" day to day, "at the end of the day, we find time to make for each other and for the girls and everybody else."
Recently, Jason was asked on the Bussin' with the Boys podcast for his thoughts on trying for a son with Kylie, which he said "would be fun" if it "happened" that way. "But I think at the end of the day, I say what my dad always said: We're very blessed to have four healthy, smart, charismatic, amazing children, and I would not trade any of that for a second."

He continued, "I wanted three kids early on. I always felt like [younger brother Travis Kelce] and I always wanted one more sibling; it felt like [that] would've been ideal. And Kylie said she wanted five. So we're at four now, and I think we'll see. That might be it."
Kylie, meanwhile, said she rejects the idea that her athlete husband should have a son. "People put this strange pressure on the idea that my husband is supposed to have a boy because 'He's going to follow in his footsteps, and he's going to be a football player, and he needs to play catch in the yard,' " Kylie said in January on the Sunday Sports Club podcast.
She added, "I hate to break it to you, but our kids play catch with him all the time. He's fine."
