Ryan Seacrest is celebrating a special occasion with a rare image from his childhood.

The Wheel of Fortune host, 50, posted a birthday tribute to his sister Meredith Seacrest via Instagram on Saturday, October 26. Meredith — who is the CEO of the family's Seacrest Foundation — turned 45.

Ryan led the two-photo carousel first with a throwback photo of him as a child looking at Meredith — then a baby — lovingly, his hand on her head as she smiled up at him. The second snapshot in the post was a recent selfie of the two grinning just as broadly as they did when Meredith was just a baby and Ryan was a proud big brother.

The longtime American Idol host captioned the sweet shots with an equally-as-sweet-caption.

"From then to now, so grateful for every memory with you," Ryan gushed. "Happy birthday, @mmseacrest!"

What Is Ryan's Relationship Like With His Sister?

The siblings have always been close, even teaming up to write a children's book together last year — one inspired by their own childhood.

At the time, Ryan proudly posted a photo of him, Meredith and his niece promoting their picture book, The Make-Believers.

"Growing up, my sister Meredith and I constantly used our imaginations to dream big and travel far," the Live With Kelly and Ryan alum detailed. "Fast forward a few decades, we've written a picture book about using imagination to propel you into the future of your dreams. Check out THE MAKE-BELIEVERS, on sale this October! It's Flora approved."

The two are also close with their parents, both of whom have fought cancer over the years. Earlier this year, Ryan shared a snapshot with his family on an outing together — the Seacrest crew appeared to be at a vineyard — noting just how thrilled he was to be with his parents, sister, and her family.

"My happy place looks a lot like this," he gushed in the caption of the post.
