A bride named Hanna has spoken out after Ashley Bez, one of the guests at her recent wedding, went viral for not following her black-tie dress code

"It's kinda crazy to see a wedding guest at your wedding posting a video about your wedding, then it blowing up and everyone having a thousand different opinions about it," Hanna said in a TikTok video

A bride is breaking her silence after a guest at her wedding went viral for not following her black-tie dress code.

Earlier this month, comedian, actor and writer Ashley Bez, 41, posted a now-viral video on TikTok and Instagram showing herself "hiding out in the staff hallway" at a recent wedding — all because she wore the wrong things.

Instead of all-black formal attire, like all of the other guests were wearing, Ashley wore a colorful two-piece set and white Dr. Martens boots, claiming her boyfriend hadn't told her about the dress code.

Nearly two weeks later, bride Hanna, 30, is now sharing her version of events on TikTok, insisting that she and Ashley had chatted about the whole thing and everything was "good" between them.

"I actually don't have a TikTok and everyone kept sending me this video, I just responded 'lol' because I'm not even watching it and then finally my mom was like 'Hanna, this girl was at your wedding, watch this video, please, watch this video!' " Hanna explained in the clip.

Ashley received thousands of hateful comments bashing her outfit after she posted the video, with many questioning why anybody would wear it to a wedding in the first place.

While speaking in her video — which had "I was the bride!!! Black tie wedding attire gone wrong, can't believe this is my life lol," written across it at the start — Hanna criticized some of the "uncool" comments Ashley had received.

She also encouraged people to "really think" about what they're saying to others on the internet.

Hanna went on to bring up two details: that she'd asked women to wear black dresses, because she thought it would be an easy option, and that the wedding hadn't been at a bar, like Ashley stated.

Hanna explained, "First detail, it was not a black-tie wedding, it was black tie optional. I just wanted you to dress nice. But, for women, I did say 'Please wear a black dress or gown,'" adding, "The reason why I did that is because, I think it's even more ironic with this whole situation, I chose that because I was like 'You know what every person in New York has in their wardrobe? A beautiful black dress.' "

She also said that the celebrations had been at a three-story Chinese Michelin star restaurant that she loves, not at a bar, addressing some of the comments that questioned why someone was having a black-tie wedding at a bar.

Hanna said in the clip that Ashley had said it was at a bar, so social media users wouldn't recognize the location or figure out who the bride was, showing Ashley's message in her wedding guest book as "proof" that it was, in fact, her special day.

She said of Ashley's video, "S--- happens, and it's kinda crazy to see a wedding guest at your wedding posting a video about your wedding, then it blowing up and everyone having a thousand different opinions about it."

"It took me a minute to make this video, really, because I'm not a really big person if it's social media, or putting my business on social media, it was just … not like shocking, but just kind of like 'holy s---' to see your wedding causing so much discourse," Hanna went on.

She urged, "I just really, really want to thank everyone who was actually being really nice to Ashley in the comments," adding, "Why don't we just be a little f------ nicer to each other?"

Hannah's video comes after Ashley described herself as looking like "a kindergartener on her first day of school" or "a slutty church lady" in the video taken at the wedding.

She said in the clip, "Do you know what I actually look like? I look like some kind of cartoon character that got brought to life. I do not look like I'm going to [a wedding]."

Hanna continued to explain that she was having "a panic attack all night," adding, "I keep hiding because I don't want to ruin all the wedding pictures. I would not do this on purpose."

While speaking to PEOPLE, Ashley said she didn't question her pastel pink and blue mini skirt or her matching long shawl over her coral top at the time, but she instantly regretted not checking the wedding dress code when she stepped inside the celebration.

"It was on the website, which I didn't look at," she insisted. "But believe me, I wish I did!"

Ashley recalled to PEOPLE of filming the clip, "While in the middle of my panic attack, I saw an exit sign near my table. So I exited and sat in a back staircase. I wanted to document how I was feeling, and see if anyone else could relate, so I posted it."

"I really just wanted to see if anyone else ever wore the wrong thing to a wedding, but the comments are, sadly, mostly people telling me I'm a dumb bitch. Which is how I felt at the time, so at least we agree on that!" she joked.
