Christina Haack shared a video to her Instagram Stories of the messy scene outside her California home after someone toilet papered it
As seen in the clip, the HGTV star's son Hudson, 6, helped her clean up the mess as she panned around to show the entire scene
While Haack questioned the prankster's use of paper towels on her home in addition to toilet paper, she did not share who she suspected was behind it
Christina Haack is documenting the cleanup process after pranksters toilet papered her house.
The HGTV star, 42, shared a glimpse of the damage done to the greenery outside of her Newport Beach, Calif., abode in a video shared to her Instagram Stories on Monday, Oct. 27. In the clip, strands of toilet paper and paper towels can be seen hanging from the trees and plants that line the front of her home.
Haack begins the clip by showing her 6-year-old son Hudson, whom she shares with ex-husband Ant Anstead, helping her clean up the mess.
"You're the best helper," she tells Hudson, to which he responds, "I? Me and Taylor," referring to his older sister. Haack shares Taylor, 15, and Brayden, 10, with her first husband Tarek El Moussa.

While the Clé Cachée founder didn't reveal who she thought might be behind the prank, she commented in the background of the clip, "Who uses paper towels to toilet paper [someone's house]?"
In response, Hudson exclaims, "Who uses soap? Mom! Soap."
Haack then tells her son that she thinks the soap is "from the window cleaning," but he's not convinced: "But there's no windows here," he says.
Toilet papering someone's house can be considered vandalism and lead to a misdemeanor charge in California, or even a felony charge if the damage caused amounts to over $400, according to SCV Bail Bonds and Kann California Law Group.
While illegal, toilet papering is a common prank that happens throughout the month of October, especially around Halloween.

The fall season has been a busy one for Haack, as she launched her new champagne line, Clé Cachée, on Sept. 29, and has been promoting it ever since.
During an exclusive interview for PEOPLE's cover story earlier this month, the designer explained how she turned her "obsession" with the sparkling beverage into her own signature brut, and how she was very involved in the production process.
"I didn't just slap my name on a bottle. I picked everything, from the finest Grand Cru grapes to the sugar content," she told PEOPLE, recalling the several trips she took to Reims and Épernay in France over the last year to learn all she could as she developed the product.

She also shared how a trip to Napa Valley with her boyfriend Chris Larocca, 52, inspired her business plan that would bring her very own champagne line into fruition. This is the first company the star has launched, aside from her interior design business, Christina & Kylie, which she runs with her partner Kylie Wing.
Haack has also been busy working on season 2 of the fan-favorite HGTV series, The Flip Off, which officially started filming at the end of September. The series will follow the original format that viewers saw in season 1, in which Haack competes in a house flipping showdown against Tarek and his wife Heather Rae El Moussa.
