Typically, a Bachelor or Bachelorette franchise show airs the (Wo)Men Tell All special the week before the finale. So why are there two more new episodes of The Golden Bachelor season 2?
The Golden Bachelor Season 2 Finale is Two Parts
Instead of a three-hour finale airing in one night, where the first two hours would be the Fantasy Suites and the final proposal (or rejection), and then the third hour would be the reunion special, The Golden Bachelor season 2 is airing its finale across two weeks. That is also what the first season did.
The November 5 episode will be the first half of the finale, which presumably will be the Fantasy Suites since that is typically what the first half of the finale entails.

Then, on November 12, there will be a two-hour episode comprised of the latter half of the finale, where perhaps Mel Owens will get engaged to either Peg Munson or Cindy Cullers, followed by the After the Final Rose reunion.
Golden Bachelor Mel Promises a 'Brilliant' Finale
In an interview with Us Weekly, Mel teased for viewers that the finale is "brilliant" and that fans "won't believe" how the season ends.
"You have the setting, and I know who it is," he said of his final choice. "It's really emotional. And you're a little nervous, but it's so brilliant. … It's so good, you won't believe it."

He added, "You won't believe how we get there. Not mechanically, but how we get there emotionally. There's some movement and twists and turns."
When asked about the fantasy suites, Mel said his approach to those overnight dates was "contemplative, conversation, information."
"I went in there really wanting to know more, because the cameras are off … and now I can ask questions you might not want to say while you're miked and on camera," said Mel.
The Golden Bachelor airs Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and streams on Hulu the next day. The new season of The Bachelorette is moving to a new night when it premieres its 22nd season on Sunday, March 22, 2026.
