Key Points -

Nvidia's upcoming earnings report should contain valuable information related to the company's new Blackwell and Blackwell Ultra GPUs.

Big tech continues to pour unprecedented sums into capital expenditures, a strong tailwind for Nvidia's data center business.

Nvidia's current valuation leaves room for meaningful upside should the company impress Wall Street.

10 stocks we like better than Nvidia ›

Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) is gearing up to report its fiscal third-quarter results on Nov. 19, and expectations couldn't be higher.

After a brief pullback earlier this year -- sparked by President Donald Trump's "Liberation Day" tariff announcement and renewed competitive pressure from China -- the artificial intelligence (AI) leader may be setting the stage for another explosive rally.

Where to invest $1,000 right now? Our analyst team just revealed what they believe are the 10 best stocks to buy right now, when you join Stock Advisor. See the stocks »

With GPU demand surging, AI infrastructure buildouts accelerating across the globe, and valuation multiples still leaving room for expansion, Nvidia's upcoming report could reignite investor enthusiasm and send the stock powering higher into 2026.

Nvidia headquarters with logo.

Blackwell demand is off the charts

Nvidia's newest Blackwell and Blackwell Ultra architectures -- designed to succeed the market-dominant Hopper series -- represent a major leap forward in computing performance. The GB200 and GB300 GPUs are purpose-built for large language models (LLMs), inference workloads, and next-generation AI applications in robotics and autonomous systems that enterprises are racing to deploy.

Orders for Blackwell systems remain exceptionally strong, fueled by cloud hyperscalers such as Microsoft, Amazon, and Alphabet, as well as tech titan Meta Platforms, all of which are integrating Nvidia GPUs into their rapidly expanding AI clusters.

Beyond the hyperscalers, Nvidia has forged major partnerships with companies including CoreWeave, xAI, and OpenAI, each building dedicated GPU clouds and supercomputers to train increasingly complex AI models. Even enterprise customers like Oracle and Dell are embedding Nvidia's new systems into turnkey infrastructure solutions.

With such broad-based, diversified demand, Nvidia enjoys a level of revenue visibility that's exceedingly rare in the historically cyclical semiconductor industry -- underscoring its dominant position at the heart of the AI revolution.

AI infrastructure spending is accelerating

Global AI infrastructure buildouts are in full swing, and Nvidia sits firmly at the center of this movement. Industry forecasts from management consulting firm McKinsey & Company suggest that AI data center spending could reach $7 trillion by the end of the decade -- spanning GPUs and networking hardware to the massive energy systems required to power model training and inference workloads.

Naturally, the hyperscalers are leading the charge -- with big tech collectively expected to invest nearly $500 billion in AI infrastructure next year alone.

AMZN Capital Expenditures (TTM) Chart

AMZN Capital Expenditures (TTM) data by YCharts

Yet the demand doesn't stop there. AI compute needs are rapidly expanding beyond the hyperscalers -- reaching start-ups, research labs, and even sovereign customers. Notably, countries across the Middle East are launching their own versions of Project Stargate -- signing multibillion-dollar agreements for Nvidia-powered data centers to accelerate their domestic AI and technology ambitions.

Hands on either side of a crystal ball.

Valuation still has room to expand

At roughly $4.5 trillion in market capitalization, Nvidia now stands as the world's most valuable company. Yet, its earnings trajectory still fuels extraordinary optimism. Analysts expect earnings per share (EPS) to surge by more than 70% over the next two years -- a pace of growth almost unheard of for a company already generating hundreds of billions in annual revenue.

NVDA EPS Estimates for Current Fiscal Year Chart

NVDA EPS Estimates for Current Fiscal Year data by YCharts

Despite its massive scale, Nvidia trades at roughly 40 times forward earnings -- a valuation that could be argued as surprisingly reasonable given the company's growth profile, dominant market position, and structural advantages.

Nvidia boasts a gross margin exceeding 70%, unmatched pricing power, and a software ecosystem moat refined over decades of developer adoption and CUDA integration. If the company once again delivers record-breaking results and raises guidance when it reports on Nov. 19, the stock could easily rerate higher as investors recalibrate expectations.

With accelerating GPU shipments, expanding enterprise partnerships, and unrivaled leadership across AI and compute workloads, Nvidia appears well positioned to extend its rally into 2026 and beyond.

Should you invest $1,000 in Nvidia right now?

 • 4 Things Retirees on Medicare Are Entitled to For Free

Maurie Backman, The Motley FoolOctober 25, 2025 at 3:36 AM

0

Key Points -

Healthcare can be a major expense for retired seniors.

Certain Medicare benefits, however, come at no cost.

It's important to know what services you'll pay for under Medicare, and to budget accordingly.

The $23,760 Social Security bonus most retirees completely overlook ›

Once you retire, many of your living costs might drop. But if there's one expense that's likely to rise, it's healthcare.

For one thing, health issues tend to arise with age. But also, you may find that your costs go up once you become a Medicare enrollee.

Where to invest $1,000 right now? Our analyst team just revealed what they believe are the 10 best stocks to buy right now. Continue »

A doctor sitting with a person.

That said, there are certain benefits under Medicare you may be entitled to without having to spend a dime. Here are a few you should know about.

1. Part A hospital coverage

Medicare consists of a few different parts. If you have original Medicare, you'll need Part A for hospital care, Part B for outpatient care, and Part D for prescription drug coverage.

Parts B and D charge enrollees monthly premiums (though some no-premium Part D plans do exist). But Medicare Part A is generally free for enrollees.

You're typically eligible for Part A for free once you turn 65 if:

You're entitled to Social Security benefits

Your spouse (whether living or not) is eligible to receive Social Security

You or your spouse worked long enough in a government job and paid Medicare taxes

People who don't meet one of these requirements can typically obtain Part A coverage by paying a monthly premium. But most seniors get Part A for free.

That said, just because you get free Part A coverage doesn't mean you won't face other costs under Part A. Each time you're admitted to the hospital, for example, there's a hefty deductible to pay. And if your stay extends beyond a certain point, you'll be on the hook for daily coinsurance.

It's important to have plenty of savings to cover these costs, whether that's in an IRA, 401(k), or health savings account (HSA). Buying a Medigap policy is another good way to potentially defray some of the expenses you might face as a Part A enrollee.

2. A yearly wellness visit

As a Medicare enrollee, you're eligible for a wellness visit each year at no cost to you. It's an opportunity for your doctor to review your medications, answer health-related questions you might have, and advise you on what screenings you might need.

However, if that wellness visit leads to additional testing or services, you could face coinsurance costs. Once again, this is where having retirement savings comes in handy.

3. Vaccines

As a Medicare enrollee, you're typically eligible for no-cost vaccines. These include annual shots for influenza and COVID-19.

During your yearly wellness visit, your doctor can discuss which vaccines are recommended for you. In addition to seasonal vaccines, they may, for example, suggest vaccines for illnesses like shingles, tetanus, or RSV (respiratory syncytial virus), none of which you'd typically pay for.

4. Depression screenings

Retirees may be more susceptible to depression for a few reasons. Aging can bring about health issues, which can be challenging to cope with. Also, some people struggle mentally once they stop working because they lose their sense of purpose.

As a Medicare enrollee, you're typically eligible for a yearly depression screening. If you require follow-up treatment, however, that may come at a cost. Specifically, you may be looking at coinsurance under Part B.

Know your costs under Medicare

While there are a number of services Medicare provides for free, there are also a good number that it won't cover at all, like dental care, eye exams, and hearing aids (though you may have these specific services covered if you enroll in Medicare Advantage). But even when services are covered by Medicare, there are often out-of-pocket costs involved.

It's important to understand what costs you might face as a Medicare enrollee so you're able to budget for them accordingly. And know that the more money you manage to save ahead of retirement for healthcare expenses, the less stress you're likely to have later on.

The $23,760 Social Security bonus most retirees completely overlook

If you're like most Americans, you're a few years (or more) behind on your retirement savings. But a handful of little-known "Social Security secrets" could help ensure a boost in your retirement income.

One easy trick could pay you as much as $23,760 more... each year! Once you learn how to maximize your Social Security benefits, we think you could retire confidently with the peace of mind we're all after. Join Stock Advisor to learn more about these strategies.

Emma Stone is revealing which of her former costars she believes is out of this world.**

No, literally. In the spirit of her new film Bugonia, which sees her character kidnapped by two men who suspect that she's an alien, the Oscar-winning actress was asked during Wednesday's episode of* The Late Show* to identify the celebrity she thinks is most likely to be an alien secretly posing as a human. **

"Willem Dafoe," Stone replied without hesitation. "Hundred percent."

Her speedy response caught host Stephen Colbert's attention. "You did not have to think about that very long," he noted, to which Stone fired back, "It's so simple. I mean, don't you — of course." **

She continued, "If it was like, Willem Dafoe's actually an alien everyone would be like, 'Yeah! Obviously. And a great one!'" She said. "Like, if they're all like Willem, bring 'em on! Land upon Earth, please!"

Colbert could get on board with that idea. "He's an alien in a very well-fitted man suit," he said. Stone added, "My favorite alien." **

Stone and Dafoe have previously worked together on two Yorgos Lanthimos-directed films: 2023's* Poor Things*, for which Stone won an Oscar, and 2024's Kinds of Kindness.
As part of her Bugonia role, Stone shaved her head and began wearing wigs to events to conceal her new look. However, as she admitted to Colbert, she may not have done the best job at convincing everyone that her hair was real. **

"I'm so unsubtle and just generally stupid that I was like… the wig looked good, but the whole night I was like, 'Can you tell it's a wig?'" she said, making a show of pretending to move her hairline. "To everyone! And they were like, 'We're pretty sure she's wearing a wig, since she moved it around a lot.'"

However, Stone is a big proponent of having a shaved head.

"It felt so good. Taking a shower with a shaved head is unbelievable," she confessed. "And every time you're thinking, you really run your hand over your head. I miss it!"

Dave Ball, an electronic pioneer and one half of the British synth-pop duo Soft Cell, has died. He was 66.

Soft Cell lead vocalist Marc Almond shared the news Thursday, revealing that Ball died in his sleep at his London home on Oct. 21. No official cause of death was provided.

"It is hard to write this, let alone process it, but it is with the greatest sadness that the other half of Soft Cell, the wonderful brilliant musical genius David Ball, died peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday night," Almond began his tribute to his former bandmate.

Dave Ball of British synthpop duo, Soft Cell, London, November 1981

Soft Cell's Dave Ball.

Fin Costello/Redferns

Almond wrote that despite the fact that Ball had been "ill for a long while and his health had been in slow decline over recent years," the musician had a "determined spirit to continue his work in the studio despite being unable to travel abroad." That spirit allowed Ball to perform with him as Soft Cell several times in the U.K.

Ball last played live when Soft Cell headlined the Rewind Festival in Henley-on-Thames in August, following a run of dates across North America.

"It's fitting in many ways that [our] next (and now the last) album together is called Danceteria, as the theme takes us for a visit back to almost the start of it all, back to New York in the early '80s, the place and time that really shaped us," Almond continued in his tribute. "We always felt we were an honorary American band as well as quintessentially British. We have always been self-referential to the Soft Cell story and myths, and this album in many ways will close that circle for us."

Get your daily dose of entertainment news, celebrity updates, and what to watch with our EW Dispatch newsletter.

Regardless of where their fans originated, Almond said Ball "will always be loved by fans who loved his music."

"It's a cliché to say, but it lives on, and somewhere at any given time around the world someone listens to, plays, dances, and gets pleasure from a Soft Cell song — even if it's just that particular two-and-half-minute epic," he added, referring to their massive 1980s international hit, "Tainted Love."****He concluded his tribute by sharing his gratitude for having been able to work with Ball throughout the decades. "My thoughts are with his family at this time," he wrote. "Thank you, Dave, for being an immense part of my life and for the music you gave me. I wouldn't be where I am without you."

David James Ball was born in 1959 in the English city of Chester before he was adopted at 18 months along with his younger sister, Susan, by Donald and Brenda Ball. He grew up in Blackpool.

Ball met Almond in the late 1970s at Leeds Polytechnic, where they were both studying art. The duo formed Soft Cell in 1979, fueled by a shared love of Northern Soul. Their 1981 debut album, *Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret, *has been credited with changing the course of pop music, paving the way for several other successful English synth-pop duos like Pet Shop Boys, Eurythmics, Yaz (Yazoo), and Erasure, and helping define the sound of British music in the '80s.

David Roach, Junkyard singer and frontman, dies at 59

Lead singer David Roach is shown performing on stage during a live concert appearance with Junkyard on July 28, 1991 in Bristol, Connecticut.

It was their rendition of "Tainted Love," written by Ed Cobb and performed by Gloria Jones in 1965 as a soul song, that brought the duo to the mainstream, topping the U.K. singles chart and becoming the best-selling single of the year there. The cover made the duo an international sensation, earning a spot in the Guinness World Records as the single that spent the longest time (43 weeks) on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart at the time.

Soft Cell released four more studio albums between 1982 and 2021: *The Art of Falling Apart *(1983); *This Last Night In Sodom *(1984); *Cruelty Without Beauty *(2002); and *Happiness Not Included *(2022).

The group dissolved after the release of This Last Night In Sodom, and Ball made his name as a producer, working for musicians like Kylie Minogue, David Bowie, Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, and Gavin Friday.**

Ball also formed the acid-house act the Grid alongside musician and producer Richard Norris, which found chart success with their 1994 song "Swamp Thing."

Norris paid his respects to his former bandmate in a tribute posted to the Grid's official Instagram account. "Dave has been a huge part of my musical life for many years," he wrote. "Being in a duo with someone is different from being in a band: The bond is very tight. That's how it was with us."

Norris continued, "We went through so many remarkable, extraordinary, life-affirming experiences together. Thank you, Dave. Thanks for the good times, the endless laughter, your unwavering friendship. Most of all, thank you for the music."

Soft Cell reunited in 2001, and their upcoming studio album, *Danceteria, *will be released at a future date.**

A beauty pageant took an unexpected turn when one of the contestants mistakenly thought she had been called as a finalist.

It happened to Miss Panama Isamar Herrera at Saturday's Miss Grand International in Bangkok, where she misheard host Matthew Deane as he named Miss Paraguay Cecilia Romero as the contestant who'd made the cut.**

Footage that has now gone viral shows Herrera happily pumping her fists in the air and walking to the front of the stage to join the finalists, while Deane suddenly paused between names.

"I beg your pardon," Deane said after a few moments. "I announced Miss Grand Paraguay."

Deane tried to smooth things over by adding, "There is a lot of noise in this hall, filled with fans from all over the world."

As he commented, Herrera, who had made her way to the front of the stage, simply turned and, with the walk of a runway model, returned to her spot among the beauty queens waiting to be named. But when all the finalists had been called, she was not among them.

Herrera was described as "an entrepreneur and singer," as well as "a dreamer and a student of Advertising and Marketing who firmly believes that with faith, discipline, and love, every goal can be achieved" in an Instagram post shared last month by the Miss Grand International pageant. "Guided by resilience and empathy, she treasures her family, friends, and every person who crosses her path."

It continued, she "sees the crown as more than a symbol of beauty — it is a chance to inspire others and to show that limits do not exist when you fight with heart. Her mission is to be an example of overcoming adversity, reminding the world that true success comes from working with love, respect, and shining without dimming the light of others."

9-1-1: Nashville actress Isabelle Tate has died at age 23, shortly after filming her first-ever series role on the ABC drama, her agency announced.

"We are deeply saddened and completely heartbroken to share that Isabelle Tate passed away on October 19," the McCray Agency shared to Instagram over the weekend in a post announcing the rising star's death.

The message continued, referencing Tate's small supporting role in the pilot episode of the spin-off program that debuted on Oct. 9.

"I've known Izzy since she was a teenager and she recently returned to acting," the announcement read. "She booked the first series she auditioned for, 9-1-1 Nashville. She had a wonderful time."

The post thanked the show's casting staffers before offering condolences to Tate's mother.

"My heart goes out to her wonderful mother @katerinataterealtor, her sister Daniella, family and friends. I was so lucky to know her and she will be greatly missed by so many," the caption finished.

A cause of death was not publicly listed, though an obituary for Tate indicates that, in lieu of flowers in Tate's memory, donations should be made in her name to the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association. Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease is a group of "inherited conditions that cause nerve damage," mainly to the arms and legs, according to the Mayo Clinic.

** has reached out to representatives for the McCray Agency and ABC for additional comment.

Tate's obituary notes that the young performer was born and raised in Nashville, and graduated from the Middle Tennessee State University, where she studied business.

"Isabelle was full of fire, a fighter, never once making excuses for the fact that she might have a disability relative to others. She was also quite musically inclined, often spending hours writing and recording songs with friends and even publishing a few," reads the obituary. "What she loved the most though was spending time with family and friends, always the life of the party. Her sister was her best friend and her mom was her shining beacon of light."

- The Apple TV hit Shrinking will return for its third season on Jan. 28, 2026.

- Cobie Smulders, who starred opposite Jason Segel on How I Met Your Mother, will return in season 3.

- Jeff Daniels and Michael J. Fox are among the new cast members joining season 3.

You wouldn't expect grieving, healing, and forgiving to be at the center of a laugh-out-loud comedy, but Shrinking's emotional center has resonated with both viewers and Emmy voters.

Created by Bill Lawrence, Brett Goldstein, and Jason Segel, the Apple TV hit has been nominated for seven Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series. It stars Segel as Jimmy, a therapist who unravels after the death of his wife and begins to cross boundaries with his patients. Season 2, which wrapped at the end of 2024, ended with Jimmy taking a major step forward in his grieving process.

So, will there be a third season of Shrinking? When does it premiere? And will the How I Met Your Mother reunion continue with Cobie Smulders' Sofi, who appeared in season 2? Here's everything we know about Shrinking season 3.**

Will there be a season 3 of Shrinking?

Yes, Shrinking was renewed for a third season in October 2024, just after the premiere of season 2.

"It has been wonderful to watch audiences around the world fall in love with the memorable characters and rich world that Bill, Brett and Jason have created in Shrinking," said Apple TV head Matt Cherniss, who went on to celebrate the show's "moving, heartwarming and very funny journey in season three."**

What happened at the end of Shrinking season 2?

Season 2 ended with Segel's Jimmy taking a huge step in his healing journey by forgiving Louis (Goldstein), the man responsible for the death of Jimmy's wife in a drunk-driving accident.

Earlier in the season, Louis opened a line of communication with Jimmy's daughter Alice (Lukita Maxwell), to which Jimmy disapproved. Still, Alice meets with him and forgives him. In the finale, overwhelmed with guilt, Louis goes to a train station and contemplates suicide. He reaches out to Alice, but Jimmy arrives instead.

"Alice had found peace in episode 6 where she forgives him and that sets her free," Goldstein told * *following the finale. "The whole story from the end of episode 1 is Jimmy has to free himself and he is in denial the whole season that he's okay. It has to be him for there to be some peace."

Elsewhere in the season 2 finale, Paul (Harrison Ford), Jimmy's grumpy colleague, finds comfort and community as he enters into a relationship with Julie (Wendie Malick), the doctor helping him manage his Parkinson's disease.

And Jimmy, too, finds a potential spark with Smulders' Sofi, a recently divorced woman from whom he considers buying a car. "You got to see these little sparks of what pre-accident Jimmy was probably like," Segel told EW of his scene with Smulders, with whom he previously co-starred on* How I Met Your Mother*.

What is Shrinking season 3 about?

Apple TV has yet to release an official Shrinking season 3 synopsis, but Segel discussed his and the creative team's approach on EW's The Awardist podcast.**

"Each season we have a word that is our true north for the theme of the season," he explained. "Season 1 was 'grief,' season 2 was 'forgiveness,' and season 3 — I acknowledge that this is two words — is 'moving forward.'"

That dovetails with remarks the actor and writer made to EW following the season 2 finale. "I would like to see [Jimmy] try to be happy," Segal said. "For Jimmy, he does not feel like he deserves to be happy. So, it would be nice to see Jimmy get to a place where he puts himself first in a way of, 'What would make me happy after all this sadness?'"**

Who's in the Shrinking season 3 cast?

Jessica Williams as Gaby and Damon Wayans Jr. as Derrick in 'Shrinking' season 3

Jessica Williams as Gaby and Damon Wayans Jr. as Derrick in 'Shrinking' season 3.

Segel, Ford, and Maxwell will all return for season 3, as will main cast members Jessica Williams (Gaby), Luke Tennie (Sean), Michael Urie (Brian), Christa Miller (Liz), and Ted McGinley (Derek). Malick will also return as Julie, as will Damon Wayans Jr., who plays the love interest of Williams' Gaby.

As for Smulders? Lawrence confirmed her return in June 2025, telling TVLine that she'll be a key character in "whether or not [Jimmy] can find a way to even imagine himself being happy again."

Goldstein's Louis will also appear in season 3, raising the question of whether his relationship with Jimmy will extend beyond forgiveness. Following the finale, Goldstein told EW he couldn't say "if we'll even see Louis again," but Segel sounded more bullish about the character's return.

"The reason that it was important to me that it be somebody who is a contemporary of Jimmy's is that I wanted looking at Louis to be looking in the mirror," he said. "It's built into the storyline that these guys could have been friends."

The ensemble will continue to grow with the addition of actors Jeff Daniels and Michael J. Fox.

Daniels, the two-time Emmy winner who led HBO's The Newsroom, will join season 3 as Jimmy's father. "That was the most brilliant casting for my dad," Segel told Variety in August 2025. "Because, we're doing very similar stuff. There were moments where in my head I was gonna try to mimic his movements. So I was kind of spying on him during scenes, and I realized we're already doing the same thing."

It's still unclear who Fox will play in season 3, but it's likely that the actor, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1991 and has long been an advocate for Parkinson's research, will share scenes with Ford's Paul, whose Parkinson's diagnosis is key to his character's arc.**
