While nothing else is scheduled for the week, allowing the players a chance to recover and rest before they start a 10-game stretch to the end of the season, the team had a busy Tuesday, both on the practice field and in the front office.
Several roster moves were made during the day, adding new players to the 53-man roster and to the practice squad. The rest of the week may be quiet around South Florida, but Tuesday included a lot.
During the practice, some notable players did not participate. Miami Herald reporter C. Isaiah Smalls II pointed out two key starters who were not seen practicing:
Miami Dolphins linebacker Jordyn Brooks did not participate in Tuesday's practice.
The star linebacker, who suffered a foot injury during Sunday's 31-24 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals that momentarily sidelined him before his return at the top of the third quarter, was one of several players who sat out Tuesday. Edge Robert Beal Jr., cornerback Reese Taylor, running back Jaylen Wright, wide receiver Caleb Douglas and right guard Jonah Savaiinaea also did not practice…
Another surprise during Tuesday's practice came when quarterback Malik Willis didn't throw.
Again, it should be noted that a lot of guys who would have been limited in a regular practice just didn't participate due to the upcoming bye week.
