While Aneyas Williams was considered the opening day starting running back for the Irish, his inability to grind out yardage on the interior opened the door for challengers. James has shown the ability to consistently create extra yardage, averaging 3.64 yards after contact while Williams is at 2.29 YAC with a disappointing 4.32 yards per carry.

James fully took over the room versus BYU last week, rushing 16 times for 77 yards while scoring 10+ fantasy points in all seven games this season. I think James clears the century mark with a score this weekend against Navy and emphatically lays claim to the starting job for the rest of the season. — Froton

The Tigers took their lumps in a 31-3 loss to Ole Miss last game, but they've been a steamroller against the rest of their schedule, scoring at least 24+ points in their other six games while ranking 15th nationally with 24% of completions gaining 20+ yards. Simmons has competently led this aggressive passing attack that averages 10.5 of target depth per pass (11th) and 16.3 yards per successful dropback (24th).

He has the advantage of facing a beleaguered Arkansas defense that is still finding its footing under new HC Ryan Silverfield, ranking 126th in yards per successful dropback and 109th in yards per drive. I think Missouri gets back on track in style, as Simmons leads the way with 300+ yards and 3+ touchdowns. — Froton

The Duke RB has been one of the most productive running backs in college fantasy football thanks to his touchdown production. He's scored 13 TDs and has found the end zone in every game.

However, he hasn't cracked the 100-yard rushing mark since he had nine carries for 116 yards against William & Mary in Week 4. He's made up for that with his receiving ability — Sheppard had 91 receiving yards against Georgia Tech and then 11 catches for 98 yards against North Carolina — but is in line to finally cross the century mark again on Saturday. Boston College is allowing over 150 rushing yards per game. — Bromberg

Pitt's season has gone south ever since QB Mason Heintschel suffered a season-ending knee injury against Virginia Tech. But the Panthers' subsequent struggles at quarterback — and on offense in general — haven't deterred Hicks' fantasy relevance.

Hicks has scored at least 19 points in three of the last four weeks. He had five catches for 149 yards and a score last week against Miami after grabbing five passes for 135 yards and a TD the week before against Boston College. And Georgia Tech, Hicks' next opponent, is all out of sorts this year.

Hicks is available in over 70% of leagues. There are far worse options available if you're in need of a receiver. — Bromberg
