In an Instagramvideoposted on Tuesday, March 24, Josephs, 58, confirmed that she will not be returning to the Bravo series afterseason 14. She said while the news "might come as a little surprise" to fans, it's been a long time coming for her.
"I've been thinking about a lot of different things and I am moving on from theHousewives of New Jersey— sorry I don't look a little more glamorous for you," she said in the video, which she filmed while on a beach.
"I've been in the talks with the network andAndy [Cohen] since December, we've discussed it, and I think the timing is right," Josephs said. "A lot of things have changed in my life. I've been blessed to work on a different project, I'm on the set right now, and I realized I have to spend more time with my family, work on my designing and just take a break and move on."
She thanked Bravo, Cohen and the other teams involved inRHONJand also gave a shoutout to the cast. "The good and the bad, I really do love you all," she said.
Josephs promised that she will be back on fans' screens "very, very soon" thanks to the new project she's currently filming, an opportunity she said she's "very grateful for."
"This will not be the last you guys see of me on television — that's not a threat, it's a promise," she said.

Her exit comes amid continued speculation about the fate ofRHONJafterthe season 14 reunion was canceledin June 2024.
Cohen has been open about his desire to change something upfor season 15 of the show, and when a fan suggested they "bring fresh faces in" likeThe Real Housewives of New York, he seemed to be on board.
"We're gonna figure something out," he said on his radio show in July 2024. "We're gonna figure something out. We are all on the same page about that."

At BravoCon 2025 in November,Dolores Cataniawas asked when cameras would be picking back up for season 15 andshe said she's "afraid to ask" Cohen about that"because he looks pissed off that people are asking him."
"They wanna get it right, and I can almost appreciate that," she said. "But I don't want to be away much longer." Fans are "missing out on things" as more time goes by between filming, she noted.
